Project Analyst I (ManTech)


Job Location: Work remotely from home but with direct and frequent accessibility to a government facility (e.g., Pentagon, Mark Center), with moderate travel expected. Customers are primarily in Washington, DC.


Background

The ManTech Program is within the Office of Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) and delivers advanced manufacturing technologies that increase Warfighter advantage. The ManTech Program furthers national security by developing advanced and emerging manufacturing processes and technology, strengthening joint planning and coordination, implementing advanced manufacturing within the organic industrial base, fostering outreach and communication with the defense industrial base, and recruiting and training the manufacturing workforce. 


ManTech is responsible for executing programs and public-private partnerships charged with fostering all steps of manufacturing technology development, starting from laboratory scale prototyping and going through all technology and manufacturing maturation steps required to transition to full production. Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a support contractor position, working directly with the Government clients and other members of our contractor team. The ManTech Project Analyst I will perform tasks such as the following:

  • Provide business and contract related analytical support to ensure proper execution of taskings in accordance with program requirements.
  • Assist the client in developing strategies for acquisition-related actions.
  • Provide coordination and facilitation support to the Manufacturing Innovation Institutes (MIIs).


Required Skills / Qualifications

The position requires the following skills and qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy or Government Administration; Engineering or Technical field; Business or English.
  • At least four years’ of relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows.
  • Active security clearance at the Secret level. 
  • U.S. citizenship required.


Desired Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate also has the following skills/qualifications.

  • At least four years of relevant work experience in Department of War / Department of Defense industrial base programs. 
  • Experience working alongside government research & development or a manufacturing technology development environment. Experience with government-funded research or development projects (e.g., SBIR/STTR, grants, CRADAs, or FAR technology development contracts).
  • At least four years’ experience originating written products, such as status reports, PowerPoint briefings, white papers, talking points for leadership, and similar written products. Skilled at proofreading and copy editing, and formatting formal documents.
  • Certifications such as PMI Project Management Professional and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Strong track record of serving clients (preferably government) and high client satisfaction. Demonstrated professional initiative and insight needed to: anticipate client needs; recognize opportunities and problem areas; recommend and implement action.
